With her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary, and her expertise and background in O&G Process Engineering, Melinda successfully transitioned from O&G Process Engineering to Data Analytics.
Melinda has a 12-year experience as a Process Engineer in ConocoPhillips, and that was before she decided to make a transition and shift to data analytics.
The Transition
With a strong background in O&G Process Engineering, Melinda excelled in optimizing operational processes and problem-solving. Recognizing the growing significance of data analytics, she pursued the RoboGarden program to expand her skill set and explore new opportunities.
RoboGarden program equipped her with the necessary tools and techniques in data analysis, enabling her to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Since joining Nutrien as a Data Analytics professional, Melinda has harnessed her engineering background and newly acquired data skills to deliver remarkable results. Leveraging her expertise in data visualization, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, she provides valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.

Post-program Job Search
Melinda is now working as a Data Analyst at Nutrien. Since joining Nutrien as a Data Analytics professional, Melinda has harnessed her engineering background and newly acquired data skills to deliver remarkable results. Leveraging her expertise in data visualization, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, she provides valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.
Before joining Nutrien, Melinda also filled the position of a Data Analyst/Project Administrator at Scott Land & Lease Ltd.
